Because of the recent tragedy regarding Ulvade, GMS will be offering this training absolutely free. GMS is prioritizing any school resource officer but any law enforcement officer is welcome.
07/17/2023 thru 07/19/2023- Ballistic Shield Operator course-$700 per student- 20 student limit. Hosted by Wichita State University Police Dept in Wichita KS. Three-day operator course will cover firearm fundamentals, moving with a shield in a team setting, breaching with a shield, active shooter response, high-risk vehicle encounters, hostage rescue, and search warrant service considerations. Upon successful completion of training, operators will be certified through Gray Matter Solutions. Students are required to pass shooting and scenario-based qualifications.
